Setting Up WebPush Notifications in BIK
Steps to enable WebPush in BIK:
1. Enable WebPush Channel in BIK Dashboard Settings
After enabling the WebPush click on the CTA to navigate to enable the embed block on your Shopify Store.
Steps to Enable:
Go to your Shopify Dashboard.
Navigate to Themes.
Click on the Customize button
Click on App embeds
Enable BIK Scripts and BIK Web Push Notification embeds.
User Onboarding: Collecting Subscribers:
Once the embed block is enabled, visitors to your website will see a pop-up prompt asking them to allow WebPush notifications.
When they accept, they will automatically be added to your broadcast segment, making them ready to receive your WebPush messages!
Creating WebPush Templates in BIK:
BIK offers two types of WebPush templates, allowing you to choose the best format for your messages:
1. Banner Type
This template includes a banner image at the top of the notification, making it more visually impactful. Perfect for promotions, special announcements, or key messages that need extra attention.
2. Text Type
A clean, simple text-based notification. Ideal for quick updates, alerts, or reminders.
Steps to create WebPush templates in BIK :
1. To create template Go to the Template Section
2. Click on Create New Template
3. Select WebPush channel and Create a template.
4. Select template type
5. Fill all the details like, icon, header, body, Redirection link in the next step and submit the template.
6. If using a banner type template, upload the image for the banner section.
Except Body and buttons all other fields are mandatory
Sending WebPush Campaigns :
1. Click on Start Campaign.
2. Select WebPush as channel
3. Fill the campaign name and select the segment, you can see the reachable customers on WebPush for each segment
4. Click on next and select the template you want to send, edit variables if needed and click next
5. Review all the details and start or schedule the campaign based on the need.
Test Campaign and test Template is not available for WebPush.
Campaign Details
You can also check the attribution details for a campaign just like other channels in the campaign details of a specific campaign if any order is placed against a campaign based on the attribution type selected.

1. Can I customize the content of my WebPush notifications?
Yes! You can customize the notification title, message, and (if using the Banner Type) the banner image.

2. How do I enable WebPush notifications on my Shopify store?

When a user subscribes by accepting the WebPush prompt, they are automatically added to your broadcast segment. You can then send notifications to this segment, keeping users engaged with real-time updates and offers.
5. What is "token is not valid" error and what should I do to resolve it ?
Token is not valid error comes when WebPush token of the customer is expired or when customer clears the cookies. To resolve this customer needs to accept the notifications permission again or reset the notifications.
