Drip Campaigns

Updated this week

What is a Drip Campaign?

Ever noticed? After sending a campaign, some customers open your messages, click your links, or show interest in your products but still don’t take the next step? For merchants, these are high-potential moments that can easily slip away. Drip campaigns help you convert these opportunities by automatically following up with customers based on their engagement and behaviour.

Why Should You Set Up Drip Campaigns?

1. Get 100% Reachability & Deliverability

Make sure your messages actually reach your customers. If a message doesn’t deliver over WhatsApp, drips can automatically try email or SMS/RCS so your communication always finds a path to the user. You get closer to 100% reach without any extra effort.

2. Boost Engagement

Reach customers at the exact moment they’re most interested. When someone opens your message, clicks a link, or browses a product, drip campaigns help you follow up instantly, so you stay top-of-mind while their intent is still fresh.

3. Automate Follow-ups

Stop spending time creating new campaigns after every user action. Drips do the heavy lifting for you, triggering the right follow-up automatically, even when you're not working. You stay productive, and customers get timely experiences.

4. Improve Conversion Rates

Give customers the little nudge they often need to complete a purchase. Whether it’s a reminder, a special offer, or a helpful update, drips deliver the right message at the right moment turning interest into action more effectively.

5. Reduce Operational Overhead

Less manual work, more marketing impact. Automated flows remove repetitive tasks like rebuilding segments or scheduling reminders. You get more time to focus on strategy, creativity, and growth while the system handles the routine.

Popular Use Cases & Examples:

Multi-Channel Reach Drip

If your message doesn’t reach a user on WhatsApp, the drip automatically retries on email or SMS so the communication doesn’t break.

Example:

WhatsApp message fails → system sends an SMS or RCS:

“Hi! Just wanted to share this exclusive 10% off exclusively for you. Tap to claim.”

Follow Up with High-Intent Customers

When someone shows interest, like clicking on a product or starting checkout drips help you reach them instantly.

Example:
A user clicks on a “Velvet Lehenga” link but doesn’t buy.

Drip message:
“Still thinking about the Velvet Lehenga? Here’s a closer look and styling ideas you might love.”

Abandoned Cart Recovery Drip

Drips remind shoppers about what they left behind and gently guide them back to complete the purchase.

Example:
A user adds a lehenga to cart but leaves.

Drip message:
“Your cart is waiting ✨ Complete your purchase before the item goes out of stock!”

Post-Purchase Upsell & Cross-Sell Drip

Once the customer buys something, you can help them discover related or premium items they may love.

Example:
After a user buys a saree, send:
“Complete your look! Matching jewelry sets that pair perfectly with your purchase are now available.”

Review & Feedback Collection Drip

Post-purchase drips encourage customers to share feedback, building trust and improving future sales.

Example:
24 hours after delivery:
“Hope you loved your order 💛 Would you mind sharing a quick review? It helps us serve you better!”

Where to setup a drip campaign on BIK?

You can set up a drip campaign as soon as you have finished setting up your main campaign here

Alternatively, you can also start a drip campaign from campaign details page:

A Quick Note

  • We create your drip campaign segment 15 minutes before the campaign goes live. This helps us make sure you’re targeting the most updated set of users.

  • You may also notice that usage credits aren’t shown while you’re setting up the drip. Don’t worry! this is simply because the segment size hasn’t been finalized yet. Once the segment is generated, your credits will be calculated automatically.
