Campaigns Credits:

Campaign credits refer to the units or tokens used to run campaigns in a marketing platform. Each campaign requires a certain number of credits, which can be purchased or allocated based on the pricing plan. These credits determine the cost and availability of running campaigns. For WhatsApp, credits are deducted based on message categories and country-specific rates, while for email, there's a fixed unit price per email.

Credits Deduction:

Campaign credits are used for WhatsApp and email campaigns.

Credits are deducted based on the following factors:

WhatsApp Credits:

  • WhatsApp credits are deducted based on the rate card provided by Meta (formerly Facebook).

  • The deduction depends on the type of message being sent, such as marketing, utility, authentication, or service.

  • Different countries have different pricing for these message categories.

  • For example, if you send 100 marketing messages to customers in the US, you will be charged based on the marketing rate in the US multiplied by 100.

  • WhatsApp credits are deducted the day after the campaign is sent, at 2 AM IST.

Email Credits:

  • Email credits are charged at a fixed unit price per email.

  • This price doesn't change based on the sender's or receiver's country or the type of email.

  • For instance, if you send 100 emails, you'll be charged based on the unit cost multiplied by 100.

  • The credits for a campaign on a given day between 00:00:00 AM IST to 23:59:59 IST are deducted the next day at 4AM IST.

Wallet of BIK Credits:

  • There is a single wallet for BIK credits, which is used for deductions across campaigns and journeys.

  • This wallet holds the total number of credits available for sending messages.

Calculating Required Credits:

  • The credits needed to start a campaign are calculated based on the merchant's shop home country.

  • The actual credits needed may vary depending on the countries the messages are sent to.

  • For example, if an Indian merchant is sending 1000 messages to different countries, they'll need enough credits based on the marketing cost for India multiplied by 1000.

You can find the available BIK credits under the account settings page, labeled as "Usage credits."
