Handling Media Messages from Customers
Handling Media Messages from Customers
Updated over a week ago

Overview:

Our system now includes enhanced handling for media messages sent by customers. This feature is designed to efficiently manage multiple media messages by triggering a default flow and applying frequency capping at a global level. This document will walk you through how this functionality works and answer some common questions.

Key Features:

  1. Default Flow for Media Messages: The system triggers a single default flow when multiple media messages are received simultaneously, ensuring a streamlined response process.

  2. Frequency Capping:

    • Global Frequency Capping for Media Messages: Controls the frequency of responses at a top level, preventing the system from triggering multiple responses for the same batch of media messages sent together within 1 minutes.

    • Default Flow Frequency Capping: Any additional frequency capping within the default flow operates independently of the global capping. Flow will run once irrespective of frequency capping added in the default flow or not.

    • Purpose: To control how frequently the default flow itself can trigger.

  3. Example Scenario:

    • If a customer sends 30 images at once, the system runs the default flow only once, regardless of any additional frequency capping rules set within the flow itself.

FAQs:

1. What happens if a customer sends multiple media messages at once?

  • The system will group these messages and trigger the default flow only once, thanks to the global frequency capping.

2. How does the global frequency capping work?

  • It ensures that no matter how many media messages are sent in a single batch, the default flow is triggered only once, preventing multiple responses for the same set of messages.

3. Will all media messages be processed if they are sent in large quantities?

  • Yes, all messages are processed, but the default flow will only be triggered once per batch.

4. What if there is no frequency capping within the default flow?

  • Even without internal frequency capping, the global frequency capping for media messages ensures that only one response is triggered for a batch of media messages.
