Feature Details
The Insert Link button is now available in the formatting toolbar for email text boxes. Clicking this button provides the ability to add hyperlinks with ease.
Key Highlights:
Add Hyperlinks: Insert a clickable hyperlink by providing the text to display and the URL.
Pre-fill for Selected Text: When text is highlighted and the Insert Link button is clicked, the selected text is automatically pre-filled in the text field.
Test Link: A Test Link button opens the link in a new tab, allowing users to verify the URL.

Use Cases
1. Compose Emails with Hyperlinks
Scenario: A user is drafting an email to include a call-to-action (e.g., "Click here to visit our website").
Solution: Use the Insert Link feature to add a clickable hyperlink, enhancing user engagement.
2. Quick Replies with Links
Scenario: Quick replies across various channels need hyperlinks.
Solution: The hyperlink will appear in the Quick Reply screen. On pasting or copying into the editor:
For Emails: The hyperlink remains functional.
For Other Channels: The hyperlink is converted to plain text, ensuring compatibility.
Steps to Use the Insert Link Feature
For Emails:
Open the Compose New Email, Reply to Email, or Quick Reply window.
Select the Insert Link button in the formatting toolbar.
Provide the following details in the popup:
Text to Display: The text to appear as the hyperlink.
URL: The link to be embedded (must begin with
http://
orhttps://
).
(Optional) Highlight text in the editor before clicking Insert Link to auto-fill the Text to Display field.
Click Insert to add the hyperlink.
For Quick Replies:
Open the Quick Reply interface.
Follow the same steps as for email to add the hyperlink.
Note: The hyperlink remains clickable when pasted into the email editor but converts to plain text for other channels.

1. What happens if I paste a link directly in the editor?
Pasting a URL directly does not apply hyperlink formatting. To create a clickable link, use the Insert Link button.
2. What if the URL is invalid?
The system validates URLs to ensure they start with http://
or https://
. Invalid URLs cannot be added as hyperlinks.
3. Can I edit or remove a hyperlink after inserting it?
Yes, you can click on the hyperlink in the editor to edit or remove it as needed.
4. Is the Test Link feature mandatory?
No, it is optional. Use it to verify the URL before inserting the hyperlink.
