Overview

The WhatsApp Payment Report provides detailed insights into payments initiated through WhatsApp Payment Blocks and other Razorpay payment links.

It streamlines the tracking of payments and order management directly within the WhatsApp flow.

Additionally, the report includes information about draft order completion and cancellation, which now happens automatically within the WhatsApp Payment Block. This eliminates the need for explicit handling in the flow.


Key Features

  1. Consolidated Data:

    • Combines data from WhatsApp Payment Blocks and other Razorpay payment links.

    • Tracks transactions with details such as payment gateway and purpose.

  2. Draft Order Handling:

    • Automatically completes or cancels old C2P orders within the WhatsApp Payment Block.

    • Includes details of old orders canceled and new orders placed.

  3. Journey Name Tracking:

    • The report records the Journey Name from which the payment was initiated.

  4. Transaction Details:

    • Includes Transaction IDs for Razorpay (e.g., pay_Pm6kLMN3zZHzqW or order_12345).

    • If the ID starts with "order_", it can be found in the Razorpay Dashboard under the "Orders" tab.


Report Fields

The following fields are included in the report for detailed tracking:

Field Name

Description

Customer ID

Unique identifier for the customer.

Customer Name

Name of the customer.

Phone Number

Customer's phone number.

Timestamp

The date and time the payment was initiated.

Journey Name

Name of the journey from which the payment was triggered.

Channel

The channel through which the payment was made (e.g., WhatsApp).

Channel ID

Identifier for the channel.

Transaction ID

Transaction ID for tracking payments (e.g., pay_ or order_).

Purpose

The purpose of the payment (e.g., test, checkout).

Order ID

New order ID generated for the transaction.

Old Order ID

ID of the previous order that was canceled (if applicable).

Payment Gateway

Payment gateway used (e.g., Razorpay, WhatsApp).


Steps to Access the WhatsApp Payment Report

  1. Log in to your BIK Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the Reports section.

  3. Select the WhatsApp Payment Report from the list.

  4. Specify the date range and filters if needed.

  5. Click on Generate Report to create the report.

  6. Once generated, the report can be downloaded in CSV format for detailed analysis.

Q1: How can I track transactions using the Transaction ID?
​A: If the Transaction ID begins with pay_, it is a payment ID. If it starts with order_, it is an order ID and can be found in the Razorpay Dashboard under the "Orders" tab.

Q2: What happens to old C2P orders in the WhatsApp Payment Block?
​A: Old C2P orders are automatically canceled or draft orders are completed within the WhatsApp Payment Block. The report provides details of the old order ID canceled and the new order ID generated.
