Overview
Multi-store support allows merchants managing more than one Shopify store to create journeys for each store independently.
When creating a journey, you can select the store domain for which the journey should run. BIK then uses the selected store's connected channels, products, collections, customer information, and Shopify order data while executing the journey.
This helps ensure that customers interacting with one store do not receive products, checkout information, or order actions belonging to another store.
For easier understanding in this article:
Primary store refers to the parent domain.
Additional store refers to a child domain.
Why Use Multi-Store Journeys?
Multi-Store Journeys are useful for merchants who manage multiple storefronts from a common BIK workspace.
Multi-Store support helps ensure that:
The correct store journey is triggered.
Customers receive information from the correct store.
Products remain isolated between stores.
Shopify actions are executed against the correct store.
Orders and customers are not mixed between stores.
Integrations use the correct store configuration.
Checkout and payment links belong to the correct store.
Journey variables remain isolated between store executions.
One store does not automatically fall back to another store's configuration.
Creating a Multi-store Journey
1: Open Journeys
Log in to your BIK dashboard.
Navigate to Journeys from the left navigation panel.
Click New journey.
You can either:
Create a journey from scratch, or
Select an available pre-built journey
Using Pre-built Journeys
You can also create store-specific journeys using available pre-built journeys.
Store-specific values should always be reviewed after adding a pre-built journey.
2: Select the Store
If multiple stores are connected to the account, BIK displays a Select store screen while creating the journey.
3: Enter Journey Details
Enter a name that makes the store and purpose of the journey easy to identify.
4: Trigger the journey
Store-specific WhatsApp Channels
Each store can have its own connected WhatsApp channel.
To verify the channel:
Navigate to Settings.
Open Store details.
Select the required store from the store dropdown.
Check the channels listed under Connected channels.
The Shopify store and its corresponding WhatsApp connection are displayed here.
When configuring a journey for an additional store, make sure the trigger uses the WhatsApp number belonging to that store.
Domain-specific Product Selection
Product selection is isolated according to the Shopify store selected for the journey.
When you add a product-related block such as Product Card, the product picker displays the products and collections associated with that store.
Parent store:
Child store :
Duplicating an Existing Journey
You can use the Duplicate option from the journey actions menu to quickly create a copy of an existing journey
Store-specific Integrations
Some third-party integrations require store-specific configuration when multiple stores are connected.
Judge.me :
Make sure the Judge.me credentials correspond to the Shopify store selected in the dropdown.
Shopflo
Shopflo can be configured from the Integrations section.
When using Shopflo with multi-store journeys, ensure that the Shopflo configuration used for checkout belongs to the correct store before activating the journey.
Message Block Availability
Product-related Message Blocks may differ between Parent and Child Stores.
Depending on the Child Store configuration, some of the following blocks may not be available:
Catalog List
Single Product
Multi Product
Browse Catalog
If a block is unsupported for a particular Child Store:
It should not be added through copied or duplicated journey configuration.
Block availability should always follow the store configuration.

Create and Complete Draft Orders for Parent and Child Stores
When multiple Shopify stores are connected to the same BIK account, the Create Draft Order and Complete Draft Order actions work according to the store selected for the journey.
This ensures that an order created from a Parent Store journey is created only in the Parent Store, while an order created from a Child Store journey is created only in the respective Child Store.
Create Draft Order for the Parent Store
The Create Draft Order action creates a Shopify draft order using the customer and product information available in the journey.
When the Create Draft Order block executes successfully:
The draft order is created in the Parent Shopify Store.
Products used in the order should belong to the Parent Store.
Customer and checkout information should be passed to the Parent Store.
No draft order should be created in any connected Child Store.
Complete Draft Order for the Parent Store
After successfully creating the draft order, you can use Complete Draft Order to convert the draft order into a Shopify order.
After Complete Draft Order executes successfully:
The Parent Store draft order is completed.
A Shopify order is created in the Parent Store.
The completed order should not appear in any Child Store.
Verify the completed order from:
Parent Store Shopify Admin → Orders
Create Draft Order for a Child Store
Create Draft Order is also supported for journeys belonging to a Child Store.
When creating the journey, first select the required Child Store.
When Create Draft Order executes for a Child Store:
The draft order should be created only in the selected Child Shopify Store.
The products in the draft order should belong to that Child Store.
Complete Draft Order for a Child Store
The draft order created for the Child Store can then be completed using the Complete Draft Order action.
After successful completion:
The draft order is completed in the selected Child Store.
The final Shopify order is created in the same Child Store.
The order is not created in the Parent Store.
The order should not be created in another Child Store.
Verify the completed order from:
Child Store Shopify Admin → Orders
FAQs
1. What is a Parent Store and a Child Store?
The Parent Store is the primary store in a Multi-Store setup.
It can have its own products, customers, orders, journeys, integrations, and available Journey Blocks.
A Child Store is an additional store managed under the Multi-Store setup.
Each Child Store maintains its own store-specific data and journey context.
2. Can I create separate journeys for multiple Shopify stores?
Yes. When multiple Shopify stores are connected, select the required store while creating the journey and configure the journey for that store.
3. Will products from all connected stores appear in the product picker?
No. Product selection should follow the store associated with the journey. Products and collections belonging to another connected Shopify store should not be mixed into the selected store's product picker.
4. Where will a draft order be created?
The draft order should be created in the Shopify store associated with the journey.
5. What happens when I complete a draft order?
The Complete Draft Order action completes the draft order and creates the corresponding Shopify order for the store associated with the journey.
6. Why can't I see a particular Journey Builder block?
Some blocks can depend on the selected store, channel, or connected configuration. If a block isn't supported for the selected additional store, it may not appear in Journey Builder.
7. Can integrations be configured separately for different stores?
Store-aware integrations can require you to select the appropriate Shopify store while connecting or configuring the integration. Always verify that the credentials and domain belong to the selected store.
8. Should I test journeys separately for every store?
Yes. Test each store independently because its products, channels, Shopify data, integrations, and order operations can be different.
9. Can I use Create Draft Order for both Parent and Child Stores?
Yes. Create Draft Order can be configured in journeys belonging to both Parent and Child Stores.
10. Can I complete a draft order created for a Child Store?
Yes. Add the Complete Draft Order action after Create Draft Order and use the draft-order information generated by the previous action.
