What is Facebook catalog?

Facebook catalog is a collection of products on the Facebook platform that can be used to run advertisements on those products and also is the base for the WhatsApp catalog.

How do we create a Facebook catalog to enable a WhatsApp shop?

Please note: To initiate this process, Admin access for both the Facebook
account and the WhatsApp Business API (WABA) is essential. If you are not an
Admin, you may encounter issues, and the process may not be successfully
completed.

Go to Settings → Channel management → Whatsapp : https://dashboard.bik.ai/settings/channel-settings/whatsapp

You will see options to

  • Connect or disconnect catalog - BIK syncs all Shopify catalog on to Facebook to power the Whatsapp native catalog

  • Option to remove out-of-stock products from WhatsApp catalog

  • Option to enable Store Icon on WhatsApp

BIK's Facebook catalog comes with default limits in place to prevent system
abuse. If you have a substantial catalog exceeding 10,000 products, please reach
out to your GSM for assistance.

1) How can I remove Out-of-stock products?

Go to settings → channel management → WhatsApp or https://dashboard.bik.ai/settings/channel-settings/whatsapp

Scroll down and check the Out of stock settings in the Facebook catalog

2) How do I remove certain products (like free ones) from the WhatsApp catalog? Such products can’t be bought on the website as well.

3) I am getting permissions Issue

Please make sure that the person who is connecting the Facebook account has Admin access for the Whatsapp account as well as the Facebook account.

4) Connection Related issues

If your WhatsApp is already connected to another catalog, you need to disconnect the existing catalog and then run the process again. To disconnect your existing catalog you can go to the WhatsApp business manager and disconnect.

5) Catalog connected successfully but the messages are not going

Your catalog can have some products rejected, BIK doesn't have much control over rejected products. Read more
