The Delay block in Journey enables users to insert a delay between two blocks within a flow, facilitating targeted customer interactions after a specified period following a particular event.


Steps to add a Delay block to your flow:

1. Accessing the Flow:

Open the desired flow where you intend to incorporate the delay.

2. Navigating to Flow Control:

Locate the Flow Control section on the right menu and click on it.

3. Adding the Delay Block:

Within Flow Control, select the Delay block to integrate it into the flow.

4. Setting Delay Time:

Once added to the flow, click on the Delay block to set the delay time.

5. Options for Delay:

  • For Duration:

    • Specify the duration for the delay to occur. You can choose between minutes, hours, and days.

  • Till Specific Date/Time:

    • Define a particular date and time until which the delay block will execute. This could be weekends at 6 PM, weekdays at 8 PM, or any specific date.

  • Variable Time Setting:

    • Alternatively, set a variable date and time, such as "after 5 minutes till the event."
