WhatsApp Products & Media Carousel:

The WhatsApp Carousel feature allows you to send predefined templates that include either a product carousel or a media and description carousel. These templates help showcase products or media in an engaging, scrollable format. However, note that the carousel block will not trigger if any of the selected products are out of stock, so make sure that all selected products are in stock.


Steps to Add a Carousel to a Journey:

1. Navigate to the Journey:

Go to the journey where you want to add the WhatsApp carousel.

2. Access the Carousel Option:

Click on the WhatsApp icon and select "Carousel" under the "Generic message" section.


3. Choose the Carousel Type:

Select either Product Carousel or Media & Description Carousel based on your needs.


4. Select or Create a Template:

Choose from the available template cards, or create a new template to use.


5. Understand the Messages:

For a Product & Media Carousel, you’ll see two messages:

  1. The template message contains information about the template.

  2. The second message shows the list of product or media cards.


6. Add Products:

  1. Click on "Add products" or "Add product variable" to include products in the carousel.

  2. If an AI product recommendation block is used, you’ll see AI-recommended products variable in the "Add variable" section.


7. Select the Number of Product Cards:

Ensure you select the required number of product cards as specified. Only then will the product picker allow you to add products.


8. Rearrange Products:

To rearrange the selected products, use the "Rearrange Products" button to drag and drop them into the desired order. Once finished, click "Done" to confirm the changes.


9. Edit Product Card Details:

Customise the product card variables, buttons and selected products as needed.


10. Media & Description Carousel:

If you select this option, you’ll need to add media such as images or videos as per the template requirements.


11. Upload Media:

  • For the Media & Description Carousel, upload the files one by one as required by the template. Existing media in the template can also be edited.

  • You can add URLs or variables containing media files for upload.


12. Carousel customisation:

You can edit or delete the product card and the media & description carousel using the available edit and delete options.


13. Edit Media & Description:

You can edit the variables and buttons in the Media & Description Carousel.


14. Save & Select Template:

After selecting products or uploading media, click on "Save & select template."

  • Send a set of up to 10 carousel cards that are horizontally scrollable, along with a text message.

  • A Product Carousel allows you to add products to carousel cards.

  • A Media and Description Carousel lets you to add image/video & description for carousel cards individually.


FAQs

1) Can I use out-of-stock products in a Product Carousel?

No, the carousel block will not trigger if any selected product is out of stock. Ensure all selected products are in stock.

2) Can I rearrange the order of media in a carousel?
No, the media in a carousel cannot be rearranged. However, you can rearrange the order of products within a Product Carousel.

3) Can I use AI-recommended products in a Product Carousel?

Yes, if an AI product recommendation block is used, you can include AI-recommended product variable by selecting them through the "Add product variable" option.
