Best Time to Send as the Default Scheduled Time
Overview
When scheduling a campaign, the Best Time to Send recommendation is now automatically applied as the default scheduled date and time whenever a recommendation is available. This helps reduce manual scheduling effort while ensuring campaigns are sent at an optimized time based on historical engagement.
How It Works
If a Best Time to Send recommendation is available for the selected audience:
The campaign's scheduled date and time are automatically prefilled with the recommended values.
You can review and modify the prefilled schedule before saving or launching the campaign.
If no recommendation is available, the scheduling behavior remains unchanged, and you'll need to select the date and time manually.
Eligibility
This feature is available only when all of the following conditions are met:
Your account has more than 5,000 customers.
Your account's deliverability rate is greater than 20%.
A Best Time to Send recommendation is available for the selected audience based on historical engagement data.
Scheduling Behavior
The default schedule follows these rules:
If a recommended best day and time are available, both fields are automatically populated.
If the recommended best day falls later than tomorrow, the date remains set to today, while the recommended time is still applied.
If no recommendation exists for the selected audience, no automatic scheduling is applied.
Notes
The automatically populated schedule is a recommendation and can be edited before the campaign is scheduled.
Recommendations are generated only when sufficient historical engagement data is available for the audience.
Accounts or segments that do not meet the eligibility criteria will continue to use the existing manual scheduling experience.
FAQs
1. Can I change the suggested date or time?
Yes. The recommended schedule is only the default value. You can modify the date and time before scheduling or sending the campaign.
2. Why is the recommended time applied but not the recommended date?
If the recommended best day is later than tomorrow, the campaign date remains today while the recommended time is still applied. This ensures campaigns are not automatically scheduled too far in advance.
3. How is the Best Time to Send determined?
The recommendation is generated using historical engagement data for your audience. If there isn't enough historical data, a recommendation may not be available.
4. Does this feature apply to all campaigns?
The feature is available only for accounts with:
More than 5,000 customers
A deliverability rate above 20%
An available Best Time to Send recommendation for the selected audience
5. What happens if my account doesn't meet the eligibility criteria?
Campaign scheduling works as before. You can manually choose the desired date and time.
6. Does this feature automatically schedule or send my campaign?
No. The feature only pre-fills the recommended schedule. You still have full control to review, edit, and confirm the campaign schedule before it is saved or launched.
