Audit logs

Audit logs are records of events or actions that have occurred within the BIK application. They provide a chronological record of activities, such as login attempts, user deletions, journey deletions, and campaign creations. Audit logs are commonly used for security and compliance purposes, enabling administrators to monitor and track user activity to detect unauthorised access or suspicious behaviour.

View of audit logs:

To view the list of audit logs, follow these steps:

1. Access "Settings" in the BIK dashboard.

2. Navigate to the β€œAudit logs” tab to view the logs.

3. Apply filters such as date range, activity type, and agents to view specific audit logs related to an agent on a particular date.

4. You can view the audit logs showing the date and time of each action, the agent responsible for the activity, the activity type, and a description of the action.

The following activities are recorded in the audit logs:

  • Assignment settings

  • Staff availability

  • Campaign created

  • Segment deleted

  • Template created or updated

  • Journey deleted

  • Journey saved

  • Journey moved to test mode

  • Delete widget popup

  • Save widget popup

  • Attribution window changed

  • API key generated

  • API key copied

  • User deleted

  • Login

  • Staff role updated

  • Pause widget popup

  • Customer list request for segment

  • Price please automation

  • Journeys status

  • Journeys triggers

  • Load balancer settings

1) Can I customise the audit log settings in BIK?

No, you cannot customize the audit logs. However, you can use the available filters for date range, activity type, and agents to view the audit logs.

2) Are there any limitations on the number of audit logs that can be stored?
There are no limitations on the number of stored audit logs. You can view all the audit logs for a selected date range along with the activity type.

3) Why are audit logs important?
Audit logs are important for security and compliance purposes. They allow administrators to monitor and track user activity, detect unauthorised access, and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

4) Can audit logs be exported to external systems or formats?
No, as of now, the download option is not available for audit logs.
