Steps for Enabling the Primary receiver for Facebook Messenger and Instagram.
We display this popup in Helpdesk whenever BIK is not set as a primary receiver, To ensure a smooth Helpdesk experience, we recommend setting BIK as the primary receiver.
Follow these steps to set BIK as primary receiver in both Instagram and Facebook
1) Go to https://www.facebook.com/ and login to your Facebook account which has the Admin access to the Facebook page connected to your Instagram account.
2) Select the Facebook page from the top right of the screen as shown below.
3) Navigate to the Advance messaging page using this link.
4) Look for Handover protocol in App settings.
5) Click on the Configure for Messenger receiver.
6) Select Bikayi Wa Integration to set BIK as primary receiver for Messenger.
7) Repeat Step 6 for Instagram receiver to set BIK as primary receiver for Instagram.
After setting primary receiver as BIK make sure Messenger conversation routing is also set to BIK for this follow these steps.
Go advance messaging settings
1) Click on “Messenger conversation routing” view button
2) In “Default routing app” click on edit or setup button to set “Bikayi WA integration” app
3) Edit the app and enable “Allow this app to take control of conversations” and save
4) Follow steps 2, 3, 4 for “Instagram conversation routing” too.
After successful connection all the chats from Messenger and Instagram will be displayed in BIK Helpdesk.

Yes, you can connect multiple Instagram and Messenger accounts to BIK, make sure you set BIK as primary receiver in all the pages using above steps.
2) Will my customer’s comments on Instagram pages come in BIK?
Yes, once you set BIK as primary receiver you will get customer’s comments on Instagram in BIK.
3)Can I converse even if I set other apps as the primary receiver?
No, if you set primary receiver to other applications, you will only receive messages without the ability to respond.
It is highly recommended to set BIK as the Primary application for platform hygiene. This ensures smooth communication and interaction capabilities.
