Advanced Campaign Abort Analytics & Smart Settings

Updated this week

To help you improve email campaign performance and maintain high deliverability, we’ve introduced a new suite of tools: Campaign Abort Analytics and Smart Settings. These features offer data-driven insights, proactive prevention mechanisms, and automatic safeguards for your email campaigns.

What’s New

Abort Reason Analytics
Get precise visibility into why a campaign was aborted, helping you identify and resolve deliverability issues quickly.

Unsubscribe & Bounce Rate Monitoring
Track current unsubscribe and bounce rates alongside recommended thresholds to pinpoint potential performance issues.

Recovery Mode

Recovery Mode automatically apply preventive measures to protect your sender reputation and improve engagement:

  • Auto Exclusion of Risky Segments
Smart segments that triggered the same abort condition 3 or more times in the last 60 days are automatically excluded from future broadcasts.

  • Auto Exclusion of Never-Engaged Users
Customers who have never engaged with emails are skipped automatically.

  • Email Frequency Capping
Limits email frequency to one per week per user when Smart Settings are active.

These rules apply only to email campaigns and do not impact automations.

Performance Curtain

When your last 3 email campaigns underperform, a performance curtain is triggered.

This includes:

  • Trends in read rate, unsubscribe rate, and bounce rate

  • An option to enable Recovery Mode directly from this view (if not already enabled)

This helps you take corrective action before your domain reputation is further impacted.

How to View Aborted Campaigns

  1. Navigate to the Campaign Broadcast Overview page in the BIK Dashboard

  2. Apply the 'Aborted' filter under campaign status

  3. Review the abort reason shown in the Performance column

  4. Click ‘Review and Fix’ under the Performance tab

  5. Review detailed recommendations to improve future campaigns

This will not enable Campaign Frequency Capping

Campaign Aborted Modal

When you open the aborted campaign modal, you will see:

  • The specific reason why the campaign was aborted

  • An 'Enable Recovery Mode' button to help you resolve the issue quickly

  • Contextual suggestions to improve campaign effectiveness

Smart Suggestions Everywhere

To help improve future campaign outcomes, suggestions are shown in:

  • The Add Details step when setting up a new campaign

  • The Broadcast Details page as a banner when applicable

These are designed to guide users toward high-performing campaign configurations and avoid repeat issues.
